Abstract: | In vitro fertilization and embryo transfer now provide an acceptable therapeutic alternative for some infertile couples. The University of Texas/Houston Medical School uses a nurse-coordinated, in vitro fertilization computer program that combines a variety of nursing interventions. The nurse specialist functions to coordinate clinical and laboratory steps and to interpret the complex process to the couple. |
