| Abstract: | The IUD is a convenient and effective contraceptive option for many women. Currently, there are two different types of intrauterine contraception available to women in North America: the levonorgestrel-releasing intrauterine system and the copper T IUD. A greater understanding of the benefits and limitations of these two contraceptive options will assist women's health care providers to better meet the family planning needs of their patients. |
