摘 要: | The EEGs of seven long-term Qi Gongpractitioners were recorded for 5 minutes before,10 minutes during and 5 minutes after Qi Gong.Computer analysis was comprised of spectral ar-rays and statistical topographical mappings for12 channel EEGs(Inter.10-12 system). The EEGs of the Qi Gong practitionerswhile practising Qi Gong were clearly differentfrom those recorded during the resting state witheyes closed.EG changes during Qi Gong havenot been reported previously. This state appearsto be a special and unusual state of excitation, and not a state of consciousness between wake-fulness and sleep. In contrast to ordinary wake-fulness with eyes closed, the alpha activity dur-ing Qi Gong occurred predominantly in the an-terior regions and the peak frequency of the al-pha rhythm was slower than in the resting state.
