Abstract:Pathology of the long biceps tendon can include tendinitis, subluxation, dislocation, and rupture. These lesionsalmost always occur in the presence of other shoulder pathology, usually rotator cuff disease. Treatment of the biceps tendon is controversial, based largely on the debate of its function at the glenohumeral joint. This article examines anatomy, function, clinical and radiographic findings, and treatment of the long biceps tendon.
