Abstract:Objective: To establish the remote digital diagnosis and treatment system for facial prostheses.And to evaluate the result of the clinical application of this remote digital system.Methods: B/S(Server/Brower)was used as the framework of this remote digital system,which was developed based on.NET.By using this remote system,patient's information,picture and CT data could be uploaded at the Remote terminal,and the data were downloaded at the local terminal.Then the CAD design and rapid fabrication of the prosthesis were completed.A clinical case was done by using this remote digital system.Results: The remote digital diagnosis and treatment system for facial prostheses was established,which was supported by ASP.NET architecture.This system had three modules,including patient management module,system management module and knowledge base module.A patient with left cheek defect was treated successfully by using this remote system.Better prosthetic result was obtained.Conclusions: Clinical work could be benefit from the remote digital diagnosis and treatment system for facial prostheses,which provide a better platform for the development and further promotion of the CAD/CAM for facial prostheses.
