Abstract: | Personal computers, scanning systems, and hand-held computing devices are the latest tools being used to support the management of patient outcomes. Nurse executives can choose technologies needed to place nurses at the fore of multidisciplinary groups charged with improving the quality and cost-effectiveness of patient care. The authors review three types of patient data management technologies and answer questions executives may have in selecting systems for their departments. |
