Institution: | Dr. Loomis is Distinguished Professor Emeritus at the University of South Carolina College of Nursing, where she directed the development of the PhD Program in Nursing Science. Her scholarly work includes research utilization in nursing practice, group psychotherapy, and human responses to chronic health problems. She has also been active in collaborative efforts between the American Nurses Association and NANDA in the development of psychiatric mental health nursing diagnoses and a shared nursing classification system for practice, research, and theory development.;Ms. Conco is a PhD candidate in nursing at the University of South Carolina and part-time Assistant Professor at the Medical University of South Carolina College of Nursing. Her clinical practice for the past 12 years has focused on caring for persons with diabetes mellitus and other chronic illnesses. Her research has been in the area of teaching methods that affect students' attitudes toward nursing care planning. |
