Clinical analysis of 60 chronic hepatitis B patients with hepatitis E virus co-infection

Objective To observe the clinical characteristics of the chronic hepatitis B patients with hepatitis E virus coinfection and the influence of hepatitis E virus on the chronic hepatitis B patients. Methods Clinical analysis was conducted in terms of characteristics of 60 patients with chronic hepatitis B virus overlapped with hepatitis E virus infection and another 60 patients with pure chronic hepatitis B virus infection. Results The difference of clinical biochemistry targets, total bilirubin, alanio amino transferase, aspartic acid amino transferase, zymoplasm original activity and blood albumin of the two groups had statistical significance （ P 〈 0.01 ）. The HBeAg cloudy rate of rotation and HBV-DNA masculine gender rate of the overlap group were lower than the control group （ P 〈 0.01 ）. Conclusion The chronic hepatitis B virus overlapped with hepatitis E virus infection may cause acute aggravation of the condition and thus result in severe liver disease, but the hepatitis E virus has certain inhibitory ability against the hepatitis B virus duplication.
