| Abstract: | A case of a 33-year-old pentazocine-addicted man (450 mg daily) is described. Histochemical and quantitative histographic analyses of the muscle biopsy disclosed type 2 atrophy.We consider that this indicates that there is a generalized toxic effect of pentazocine. |
