The diagnosis and use survey of psychotropic drugs for inpatients with mental disorders

Objective To investigate the diagnosis and drug use of inpatients with mental illness in our hospital,and to improve the level of clinical rational drug use in the hospital.Methods On October 6,2019,a statistical analysis of the clinical diagnosis and medication status of 218 patients with mental illnesses hospitalized in our hospital was conducted.Analyze the diagnosis and classification of diseases of the enrolled patients,the combined use of antipsychotic drugs,the use of single antipsychotic drugs,the frequency and dosage of drug use,and the use of drugs to relieve side effects of drugs.Results Among the enrolled patients,schizophrenia patients were the most,followed by patients with affective mental disorders.The combination of two antipsychotics was the most used,followed by a single antipsychotic,and three or more antipsychotics were used less frequently.A total of 86 patients(39.45%)were treated with a single antipsychotic drug,and the most commonly used drugs were olanzapine and quetiapine.The frequency and dosage of all drugs in the enrolled patients were within the recommended range of the drug,and the combined use of drugs for constipation and liver function improvement was slightly more.Conclusions Most of the medications used in our hospital are relatively reasonable,and the dosages are within the prescribed range.The use of atypical antipsychotics is dominant,and the combination of two antipsychotics is more common.
