Correlation between serum VCA-IgA,EA-IgA,Rta-Ig[JP2]G levels and pathological staging of nasopharyngeal carcinoma and the clinical significance of joint monitoring

Objective To analyze the correlation between serum viral shell antigen immunoglobulin A(VCA-IgA),early antigen immunoglobulin A(EA-IgA),Rta-immunoglobulin G(Rta-IgG)levels and pathological staging of nasopharyngeal carcinoma and the clinical significance of joint monitoring.Methods The 84 patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma were set as the NPC group,52 VCA-IgA positive patients who passed the anti-cancer examination and had no history of rhinitis were set as the control group 1,and 48 healthy subjects were set as the control group 2.The serum levels of VCA-IgA,EA-IgA,and Rta-IgG were compared among the three groups.Compare the levels of serum VCA-IgA,EA-IgA,Rta-IgG in patients with different clinical stages.Compare the single and combined monitoring value of serum VCA-IgA,EA-IgA,Rta-IgG levels.Analyze the correlation between serum VCA-IgA,EA-IgA,Rta-IgG levels and clinical stages.Results The serum levels of VCA-IgA,EA-IgA,and Rta-IgG in the NPC group were significantly higher than those in the control group 1 and control group 2(P<0.01).Serum levels of VCA-IgA,EA-IgA,and Rta-IgG in stage IV patients were significantly higher than those in stage I,II,and III patients(P<0.05 or 0.01).The accuracy and sensitivity of the combined monitoring of thethree were significantly higher than that of single monitoring(P<0.01).Serum levels of VCA-IgA,EA-IgA,Rta-IgG were significantly positively correlated with the clinical stage of NPC(P<0.01).Conclusions Serum levels of VCA-IgA,EA-IgA,and Rta-IgG were significantly positively correlated with the clinical stage of NPC.Combined monitoring for comprehensive diagnostic evaluation can improve the accuracy and sensitivity of screening.
