Abstract: | Neck metastases secondary to thyroid cancer are rarely visualized scintigraphically in the presence of a functioning thyroid gland. We present a patient with cervical lymph node metastases that take up 99mTc pertechnetate in the presence of hyperfunctioning thyroid tissue and discuss the pathophysiology of this phenomenon. |
