ERYTHROPOIESIS IN THE NEWBORN |

| Abstract: | It has been shown that the diminished erythropoiesis occurring during the period from a few days to about six weeks after birth is associated with the presence of an inhibitor of erythropoiesis in the urine of infants at this time. Suggestions that the inhibitor might be an oestrogen or related compound are not supported by the observations recorded in this paper. |
