| Abstract: | Eleven cases with pleural mesothelioma,from Mar.1979 to Jan.1983,wereobserved in our hospital.Amongthem,eight cases were of diffuse type,threelocalized.A short time exposure to asbestos was only in one case in this group.Two cases had a solid mass on the chest wall,one complicated hydropneumothoraxand one was misdiagnosed as an empyema before operation.In order to have acorrected diagnosis in the early stage,the authors pointed out some suspectedconditions and had a discussion about the diagnosis and treatment. |
