摘    要:The antisperm antibodies (AsAbs) coated on spermatozoa of the proximal vas deferens (sperm before ejaculation, SBE) from 48 fertile men who were volunteers of vasectomy and 24 vasectomized men who asked for vasovasotomy, were determined by immunobead test (IBT) and sperm cervical mucus contact test (SCMC). The results showed that in fertile men there were no positive sam ples of SBE in IBT and SCMC. In vasectomized men positive samples of SBE were found in 79.4% for IgG, 38.2% for IgA and 35.5% for SCMC. The AsAbs on SBE could be found at the time of less than one year to more than 3 years after vasectomy. The AsAbs were still found on the semen samples at 1-3 months after vasovasotomy. Our results also indicated that the incidence of AsAbs on SBE from vasectomized men could not predict the levels of AsAbs on their ejaculated sperm after vasovasotomy. There was no significant correlation between the levels of AsAbs in serium before vasovasotomy and those on SBE from vasectomized men.

Abstract:It is known that antisperm antibodies (AsAbs) are in male blood sera and semen after vasectomy or vasovasostomy. However, Moderator and Moderater in 1978 raised the question of whether AsAbs can coat the epididymal spermatozoa after vasectomy, or if they exist upon the surface of the epididymal spermatozoa before ejaculation. The immunobead test (IBT) and sperm-cervical mucus contact (SCMC) test were used to determine the presence of AsAbs coating the spermatozoa of the proximal vas deferens from 48 fertile men aged 23-35 years seeking vasectomy and 24 vasectomized men aged 25-40 years seeking vasovasostomy. There was no positive sample of sperm before ejaculation (SBE) in fertile men. In vasectomized men, positive samples of SBE were found in 79.4% for IgG, 38.2% for IgA, and 35.5% for SCMC, with the AsAbs on SBE found from less than 1 year to more than 3 years after vasectomy. The AsAbs were still found upon the semen samples at 1-3 months after vasovasostomy. The incidence of AsAbs upon SBE from vasectomized men did not predict the levels of AsAbs upon their ejaculated sperm after vasovasostomy. No significant correlation was identified between the levels of AsAbs in serum before vasovasostomy and those upon SBE from vasectomized men.
