Late Cerebrovascular Disease after Radiation Therapy – Report of Two Cases and a Review of the Literature

Symptomatic vascular disease induced by radiation therapy has become a problem, increasingly recognised by the cancer therapist in recent years. Two further cases of this entity are reported herein, followed by a detailed literature review of histopathologic changes seen in experimentally-and clinically-iiradiated blood vessels the clinical and radiological features, treatment and natural history of large vessel, especially cerebral, disease attributed to therapeutic irradiation.
