某军医大学本科生流行病学课程全英文教学效果的调查报告

摘    要:探讨在医学院校本科生流行病学课程中实施全英文教学的可能性。采用自行设计的调查问卷进行集中统一调查,内容包括性别、年龄、专业、英语水平、支持程度、授课评价、听懂比例、授课建议等。结果显示总体上对全英文授课支持者占80.5%;对该次授课满意者占93.1%;学员听懂比例为60%以上者占69.47%;授课建议排在前几位的主要为不同程度的英汉对照、小课教学、全程英文教学、发放英文讲义、多举例子、改善发音、预习、形式内容多样化等。因此,该校本科生学员对流行病学课程实施全英文授课是支持的,实施流行病学课程全英文授课是可行的,可根据学员的不同特点进行必要的调整来更好地完成教学任务。

Abstract:This paper aims to explore the possibility of teaching epidemiology course in English to undergraduates at medical universities.A survey was conducted with a self-designed questionnaire including sex,age,specialty,English level,support rate,proportion of understanding,and suggestions.The results showed that 80.5% of the undergraduates supported teaching epidemiology course in English,93.1% of them were satisfied with the teaching,and 69.47% of the students could understand 60% or above of the whole content.Main suggestions were to translate important words into English,teach in smaller classes,teach in this form throughout the whole semester,distribute reading materials,give more examples,make preview,and enrich teaching form and content.In a word,the undergraduates of this military medical university welcomed this kind of teaching mode,and it was possible to teach epidemiology course in English.We can readjust teaching to improve teaching quality according to students' different characteristics.
