Clinical Effect of Shenqi Qiangxin Tang Combined with Wenyang Lishui Tang onRefractory Heart Failure

Objective:To observe the clinical effect of Shenqi Qiangxin tang combined with Wenyang Lishui tang on the treatment of refractory heart failure based on the treatment of conventional medicine. Methods:A total of 82 patients with refractory heart failure were randomly divided into the control group and the treatment group,41 cases in each group. The control group was given conventional western medicine for treatment, and the treatment group was additionally given modified Shenqi Qiangxin tang and Wenyang Lishui tang based on the treatment of the control group. Both groups were treated for three months. Before and after treatment,changes in Chinese medicine symptom scores and the heart function indexes including left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF),left ventricular end-diastolic diameter(LVEDD) and left ventricular end-systolic diameter(LVESD), and the clinical effect as well as adverse reactions were observed in the two groups.Results:The total effective rate was 95.12% in the treatment group,higher than that of 60.98% in the control group,the difference being significant(P<0.05). After treatment, the scores of primary, secondary and total symptoms in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05),and the above scores in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05). After treatment, the LVEF level in both groups was respectively increased when compared with that before treatment(P<0.05),and the levels of LVEDD and LVESD in both groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05);the above levels in the treatment group were improved more significantly than those in the control group(P<0.05). The incidence of adverse reactions was 21.95% in the treatment group and 12.20% in the control group,there being no significant difference(P>0.05). Conclusion:The therapy of Shenqi Qiangxin tang combined with Wenyang Lishui tang for patients with refractory heart failure, can effectively reduce their symptoms,improve the heart function and clinical effect,with great safety.
