Clinical Study on Yiqi Fumai Prescription Combined with Routine Western Medicinefor Chronic Heart Failure

Objective:To observe the clinical effect of Yiqi Fumai prescription combined with routine western medicine for chronic heart failure(CHF). Methods:A total of 98 cases of CHF patients were randomly divided into the observation group and the control group, 49 cases in each group. The control group was given routine western medicine including irbesartan tablets,isosorbide dinitrate tablets,and digoxin tablets;the observation group was additionally given the oral administration of Yiqi Fumai prescription based on the treatment of the control group. Both groups were continuously treated for 8 weeks.The clinical effect was evaluated in the two groups.Levels of left ventricular end-diastolic diameter(LVEDD),left ventricular end-systolic diameter(LVESD), and left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF) before and after treatment were compared between the two groups. Levels of tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α) and interleukin-6(IL-6) in serum before and after treatment were detected in the two groups.Gene expression levels of protein and mRNA of Bcl-2 before and after treatment were detected in the two groups. Results:The total effective rate was 91.84% in the observation group,and 77.55% in the control group, the difference being significant(P<0.05). After treatment, levels of LVESD and LVEDD as well as levels of TNF-α and IL-6 in serum in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05);LVEF levels and expression levels of mRNA and protein of serum Bcl-2 in the two groups were increased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05);the improvement of indexes above in the observation group was more significant than that in the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion: In the treatment of CHF, the combined therapy of Yiqi Fumai prescription and routine western medicine can effectively improve the heart function of patients with chronic heart failure, regulate inflammatory factors and gene expression level of mRNA of Bcl-2, whose curative effect is better than that of simple western medicine.
