Research progress on risk factors of postoperative atrial fibrillation

Postoperative atrial fibrillation is a common postoperative complication. Although it has certain self limitation, it will bring serious harm to patients. Postoperative atrial fibrillation may cause cardiovascular complications, acute kidney injury, stroke and even death, which may increase the medical burden for patients. It is very important for development of the disease to early prevention of postoperative atrial fibrillation. This article included references about postoperative atrial fibrillation in recent years, and intended to explain in detail the latest research progress on risk factors of postoperative atrial fibrillation. This article provides theoretical support for early identification of high-risk patients with postoperative atrial fibrillation. At the same time, analyzing the influence of perioperative drugs on postoperative atrial fibrillation provides suggestions for the early prevention of postoperative atrial fibrillation in the perioperative period.
