Explanation of Culture Schema of TCM English Translation

TCM translation is a kind of cross-language and cross-culture communication.It has always been the focus of TCM translation study that how to translate cultural elements contained in the TCM language.This paper presents how to interprete the cultural schema of TCM,how to better transfer the cultual connotation of target text in the translated text from the perspective of Relevance Theory.It points out the nature of TCM translation,that is the dual communication.In translating,translators should grasp well the cultual elements in order to infer the cultual implicature,and make the optimal relevance to the target text to facilitate readers’ understanding of the utterance.
