Abstract: | We report the case of 76-year-old woman operated in 1952 for a congenital inveterate dislocation of the left hip with a Putti's osteotomy and then treated in our institute for revision with correction osteotomy and hip arthroplasty using the modular ZMR system. With this surgical operation, the normal anatomy of the hip was restored. In fact, the articulation was again in correspondence of the true acetabulum, the femoral axle was corrected and the length discrepancy of the limb was reduced. The arthroplasty has given a stable neo-articulation and the use of the modular ZMR femoral system permitted synthesis of the osteotomy without any additional osteosynthesis devices.
