| Abstract: | The thyroid ima artery generally occurs as a single vessel, but rarely in double The following two cases of the double ima arteries were observed from 1980 to 1987 by author. Case 1: the first ima ginated orifrom the brachiocephalic trunk with the thymic arteries in commontrunk and the second from the left common carotid; Case 2: the first ima originated from the brachiocephalic trunk, the second ima from the left common carotid. There are 11 cases with double thyroid ima arteries in cadavers have been observed until now. The author suggests that it must pay attention to the double thyroid ima arteries in the clin-ical operations of the neck. |
