Further studies on the anti-neoplastic activity of 3 β-hydroxy-13α-amino-13,17-seco-5α-androstan-17-oic-13,17-lactam {p-[bis(2-chloroethyl)amino]-phenyl}acetate (NSC 290205)

The modified steroidal alkylating agent 3β-hydroxy-13α-amino-13,17-seco-5α-androstan-17-oic-13,17-lactam {p-[bis(2-chloroethyl)amino]phenyl} acetate (NSC 290205) is active in treating the LX-1 lung and MX-1 breast xenografts as well as a number of rodent tumors. Of 13 tumors tested, activity has been shown in 10 systems. Two systems have not received adequate testing and negative results were recorded in 1 system.
