| Abstract: | The relationship between ambulatory blood pressure(ABP) and LVH was investigated in 50 consecutive subjects by 24 hour noninvasive ABP monitoring and 2D echocardiography.The result showed that systolic blood pressure(SBP)(24 hour.daytime.nighttime)and LVMI have significant relationship(r=0 70,0 58,0 70 respectively),while diastolic blood pressure(DBP)have only weak relationship(r=0 32,0 33,0 25).Furthermore,load ratio of blood pressure(SBP,DBP)and LVMI also have significantl correlated(r=0 47,0 28).Significant inverse correlations were found reduction of SBP and DBP(r=-0 47,-0 31)at nighttime.The results suggest that the treatmented of hight blood pressure in the elderly must not only control the level of blood presesure,but also recover the rule between daytime and nighttime of blood pressure. |
