Abstract:Objective:To investigate the expression and significance of CD4~+ CD25~+ Foxp3~+ T cells in peripheral blood of patients with dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM). Method:The frequencies of CD4~+ CD25~+ T cells and CD4~+CD25~+Foxp3~+ T cells were detected in 30 patients with DCM (DCM group) and 20 healthy donors (control group) by flow cytometry. Result:The frequency of CD4~+ CD25~+ T cells (8.53±1.64]%) was found to be significantly lower in patients with DCM than those of the control group(11.4±2.17]%) ,P<0.01. The frequency of CD4~+ CD25~+ Foxp3~+ T cells (0.99±0.54]%)was found to be significantly lower in patients with DCM than that of the control group (1.55±0.55]% ),P<0.01. And the frequency of CD4~+CD25~+Foxp3~+ T cells had negative correlation with heart function grade((NYHA) (r=0.693, P<0.01).Conclusions:The frequency of regulatory T cells decrease in patients with DCM and is associated with aggravated heart function. The reduction of regulatory T cells may lead to the down-regulation of autoimmune tolerance and bring about autoimmunity cardiomyopathy.
