Abstract:Objective To compare the results of immunoblot assay and protein chip technique in detecting antinuclear antibodies(ANA) of human serum in order to testify if these two methods have equivalency. Methods 70 serum samples with ANA were detected by immunoblotting and protein chip technique respectively. Then werecorded the results of experiments and analyzed them by approcriate statistical method. Results No significant statistical difference was found between the results of these two methods in detecting SSA, SSB, SM, Scl-70, Jo-1 and CENP(P〉0.05) while it was were only observed in RNP test (P=0.04). Conclusion The results of these two methods in detecting ANA had good consistency and protein chip techinique can be applied to clinical ANA tests.
