Observation on the application effect of percutaneous kyphoplasty in the treatment of osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures

Objective To analyze the application effect of percutaneous kyphoplasty in the treatment of osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures.Methods A total of 47 patients with osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures were divided into control group(24 cases)and experimental group(23 cases)according to different treatment measures.The control group was treated with percutaneous vertebroplasty,and the experimental group was treated with percutaneous kyphoplasty.The clinical efficacy,fracture healing,complications and surgery related indicators were compared between the two groups.Results The total effective rate 95.65%of the experimental group was higher than 70.83%of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The healing time(35.14±5.21)d and hospitalization time(4.14±0.36)d of the experimental group were shorter than(46.14±6.01)and(5.10±0.02)d of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The complication rate 8.70%(2/23)in the experimental group was lower than 33.33%(8/24)in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The operation time(39.14±4.21)min of the experimental group was longer than(28.14±3.01)min of the control group,the amount of bone cement perfusion(4.14±1.36)ml was less than(5.10±1.02)ml of the control group,and the Cobb angle(7.52±2.25)°was less than(9.85±3.25)°of the control group.All the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Percutaneous kyphoplasty has definite efficacy on patients with osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures,which can promote the rapid recovery of vertebral function and improve the clinical symptoms of patients.It is not only safe,but also can shorten the healing and hospitalization time of patients,and reduce the treatment burden of patients,which is worthy of application and promotion.
