Abstract: | The number of people with chronic heart failure is increasing due to improved survival rates following myocardial infarction, as well as an ageing population. This article provides an overview of the pathophysiology, signs and symptoms and medical management of chronic heart failure and explores some of the information needs of patients with chronic heart failure. |
