Abstract: | A new method, based on the response of a thickness shear mode sensor to electrocapillary phenomena, for determination of the potential of zero charge (pzc) at solid metal (solution interfaces is described. The pzc values of gold in the solutions of NaF, Na2SO4, and HClO4 are obtained. The order of the pzc values is as follows: F?> ClO4?> SO42?. This is in good agreement with previous work. |
