神经内镜外科简史

1910年，硬性膀胱镜被首次应用于侧脑室脉络丛烧灼术治疗先天性脑积水，开创了神经外科应用内镜的先河，但手术疗效差，死亡率高，使内镜在神经外科的应用饱受质疑。其后，由于新式显微镜和光导纤维内镜的问世，内镜在神经外科得到了充分的应用。与之相随的是，神经内镜外科理念的变化，以及临床适应症的不断拓展。目前，神经内镜技术已成为现代神经外科的一个重要分支。

A short history of endoscopic neurosurgery

Since 1910, rigid cystoscopy was first applied in the lateral ventricular choroid plexus cauterization for the treatment of congenital hydrocephalus, thus, opening up a new window in the endoscop- ic neurosurgery, but poor surgical outcome and high mortality made the application of endoscopic neurosur- gery in question. Latterly, because of the appearance of new microscope and optical fiber endoscope, neuro- endoscopy has been applied adequately in neurosurgery, with the increase of its clinical indications. Along with it, the concept of neuroendoscopy in surget~~ has changed, as well as the expansion of clinical indica- tions. At present, neuroendoscopy technology has become a significant branch of modern neurosurgery.
