| Abstract: | 40 cases of pyocyanic pneumonia were admitted to our department from August 1985 to December 1992,among whom 85% had chronic respirotory disease. 49 percent of the patients were with nosocomial infection, pseudomonas aeruginosa isolated by us were most sensitive to amikacin, polymyxin B and gentamicin. In respect to treatment, amikacin or gentamicin plus other antimicrobial was used more frequently. The mortality rate was 15 percent. |
