摘    要:1983年夏在皖南歙县发生了一次非细菌性成人腹泻暴发流行,病例总数达20,000人以上。传播途径没有查清。用直接电镜和免疫电镜检查,发现在病人粪便中有一种病毒,其形态与普通轮状病毒非常相似,但经补体结合和ELISA试验二者之间无抗原联系。又经基因组核酸分析,发现二者的核酸电泳图型明显不同。故证明这是一种新的轮状病毒。

Abstract:Shexian County of Anhui Province in East China experienced a severe outbreak of non-bacterial diarrhoea in May-June of 1983.More than 20,000 patients were reported.Most cases were adults at age of 20 to 50 years old.The isolated virus was morphologically indistinguishable from ordinary infantile rotavirus,but CF and ELISA tests showed that the new virus lacked the common group antigen shared by ordinary rotavirus.The new rotavirus was unidentified by hyperimmune sera of chimpanzee against Norwalk virus in CF test as well.9 of 10 convalescent-phases and 3 paired sera of patients showed antibody positive and greater than 4-fold antibody rise against new rotavirus in CF test.17 faecal samples from patients showed identical,and special electrophoresis type.All of them had a double-stranded RNA with 11 discrete segments.The RNA profiles were quite different from those of reference rotavirus Wa strain and ordinary infantile rotaviruses.3rd and 4th segments were near to each other,5th and 6th segments were very close,but 7,8 and 9th segments were separated widely.This study indicates the new virus can be identified as a new sefotype or a new subgroup of rotaviruses.This new rotavirus has been incriminated as the causative agent of this epidemic of adult diarrhoea.
