南京地区社会经济状况和超重肥胖的流行病学研究

目的]了解南京地区社会经济状况与超重肥胖的流行病学联系。方法]采用横断面研究,研究对象来自南京地区的3个城区和2个乡村、年满35周岁并在当地居住满5年的常住人员。结果]超重和肥胖占调查总人数的44.8%,其中超重和肥胖现患率分别为33.0%和11.8%。经多因素调整后,超重肥胖人群在职业、文化、经济分布上的差异均有统计学意义。家庭年收入和职业类型与超重、肥胖正相关;受教育水平与超重肥胖呈负相关。在3个SES指标中,家庭年收入关联最为显著,是应用最广的指标。结论]社会经济状况与南京地区超重、肥胖关系密切。

EPIDEMIOLOGICAL STUDY ON SOCIO-ECONOMIC STATUS AND OVERWEIGHT AND OBESITY IN NANJING

Objective]To explore the relationship between socio-economic status (SES) and overweight and obesity among residents in Nanjing.Methods]Population-based cross-sectional study was conducted on local residents older than 35 in three urban districts and two rural counties.Results]The proportion of participants with BMI above the healthy weight range was 44.8%;33.0% were overweight and 11.8% were obesity. After adjusting for possible confounding factors,significant differences were found in the prevalence of overweight and obesity among those with different occupations,cultural and economic status. It was observed that annual family income and occupational status were positively associated with overweight and obesity among adults older than 35;educational status was negatively related to overweight and obesity. Among the three SES indicators,annual family income seemed to be the most important related factor of overweight and obesity in the study.Conclusion]The proportion of adults older than 35 with BMI above the healthy weight range is significantly associated with socio-economic status among Nanjing residents.
