| Abstract: | A study of 820 patients at risk for deep-vein thrombosis of the legs and pulmonary-arterial thrombo-embolism (PATE) serves to illustrate that screening by means of ultrasonic flowmetry and venous-occlusion plethysmography is capable of detecting asymptomatic phlebothrombosis. |
