豚鼠松果体超微结构研究

AN ULTRASTRUCTURAL STUDY OF PINEAL GLAND IN GUINEA PIGS

The pineal gland of the guinea pig was studied at the electron microscopic level. The gland is composed of low-density parenchymal cells, interspersed among which are occasional glial cells,blood vessels and neural elements. The parenchymal cells have numerous processes, whose terminals are usually found within the perivascular space and contain both clear and dense-core vesicles.The parenchymal cells display abundant mitochondria and prominent SER. The RER, ribsomes, Golgi apparatus, microtubes and microfilaments are also present. The capillaries were found lined by thick non-fenestrated endothelial cells.Species characters in the fine structures of the pineal gland are discussed.
