Abstract: | Fibroblast cultures derived from human breast material treated with pharmacological doses of stilboestrol (115 μm) undergo a morphological transformation to an epithelial appearance. The effect is rapid and reversible. It is independent of RNA and protein synthesis and is not inhibited by an oestrogen antagonist (tamoxifen). |
