Research progress on action mechanism and clinical application of low molecular weight heparin
Abstract:Heparin is an anticoagulant drug widely used in clinic.It has been found that the biological activity of heparin mainly comes from its interaction with hundreds of different proteins.Therefore,besides anticoagulation,heparin also has strong pharmacological properties such as anti-inflammation,anti-tumor,anti-virus,promoting wound healing,and anti-anemia.With the in-depth study of heparin,low molecular weight heparin (LMWH) was discovered.Compared with ordinary heparin,LMWH has longer half-life and better bioavailability,and less risk of bleeding,allergic reaction and adverse reactions such as thrombocytopenia induced by heparin.In this paper,the mechanism of action and clinical application of LMWH were reviewed.
