Analysis of the effect of donepezil combined with nimodipine in the treatment of senile vascular dementia

Objective To analyze the effect of donepezil combined with nimodipine in the treatment of senile vascular dementia.Methods A total of 200 cases of senile vascular dementia treated in our hospital from January 2016 to January 2019 were selected as the research object,and they were divided into control group and observation group by double-blind random sampling method,with 100 cases in each group.The control group was given donepezil treatment.The observation group was treated with donepezil combined with nimodipine.The treatment effect,MMSE score,ADL score,CDR score,HDS-R score,adverse reactions and cerebral blood flow indexes were evaluated in the two groups.Results Before treatment,there were no significant differences in MMSE score,ADL score,CDR score,HDS-R score and cerebral blood flow index between the two groups(P>0.05).After treatment,the observation group''s MMSE score,ADL score and HDS-R score were higher than those of the control group,the CDR score of the observation group was lower than that of the control group,and the cerebral blood flow index of the observation group was higher than that of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).The total effect rate in the observation group(95.00%) was higher than that in the control group(78.00%),and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The total incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group(4.00%) was lower than that in the control group(23.00%),and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The combined treatment of donepezil and nimodipine in elderly patients with vascular dementia is of positive significance.It can improve the treatment effect of patients while improving patients'' cognitive function,ability of daily living,severity of dementia,and can reduce adverse drug reactions.It is worth studying and adopting clinically.
