| Abstract: | A simple and effective procedure for inducing gastric lesions in the unrestrained rat is described. A significant feature of the present technique is that gastrointestinal lesions are observed following a relatively brief (6 hr) exposure to the shock-stress condition. Lesions are found to occur in the glandular portion of the stomach, and initial evidence implicates conflict as the ulcerogenic agent. |
