摘    要:结核分枝杆菌(Mycobacterium tuberculosis,MTB)是引起结核病的病原体,也是单一感染微生物导致死亡的最重要原因。在MTB基因组上有一类特殊的蛋白家族——PE/PPE蛋白家族,该蛋白家族对细菌毒力、抗原变异、宿主细胞命运等至关重要,且在特异性诊断试剂和疫苗研制中具有广阔的应用前景。本文将从PE/PPE蛋白家族的结构特征、生物学功能、及其对宿主免疫反应调控等方面的近年来研究进展作一综述。

Abstract:Mycobacterium tuberculosis (MTB) is the pathogen that causes tuberculosis, and it is also the most important cause of death from single microbial infection. There is a special protein family in the MTB genome-the PE/PPE protein family. This protein family is critical to bacterial virulence, antigenic variation, host cell fate, etc., and has a broad application prospects in the development of specific diagnostic reagents and vaccines. In this paper, the structural characteristics, biological functions and the regulation of host immune response of PE/PPE protein family are reviewed.
