Expressions and clinical significances of CCL2 and ETS-1 in cutaneous melanoma

Objective:To investigate the expressions of CCL2 and ETS-1 in cutaneous melanoma and their clinical significances.Methods:70 patients with cutaneous melanoma admitted to our hospital from June 2012 to June 2015 were selected and their melanoma tissues were taken.Another 70 cases of normal skin tissue excision in our hospital during the same period were selected as control.Immunohistochemical staining was used to detect the expressions of CCL2 and ETS-1 proteins,and their relationships with clinicopathological parameters were analyzed.COX regression model was used to analyze the relationships between the expressions of CCL2 and ETS-1 proteins and the prognosis of patients with cutaneous melanoma.Results:The positive rates of CCL2 and ETS-1 in skin melanoma tissue were significantly higher than those in normal skin tissue (P＜0.05).The expressions of CCL2 and ETS-1 were not correlated with age and gender of patients (P＞0.05),but with tumor size,differentiation,invasion,TNM stage and lymph node metastasis (P＜0.05).The expressions of CCL2 and ETS-1 in cutaneous melanoma were positively correlated (r=0.452,P＜0.05).The 3-year survival rates in CCL2 and ETS-1 positive expression groups were significantly lower than those of negative expression groups (P＜0.05).COX regression analysis showed that CCL2 and ETS-1 expressions,primary infiltration and lymph node metastasis were independent risk factors affecting the prognosis of cutaneous melanoma (P＜0.05).Conclusion:CCL2 and ETS-1 are highly expressed in cutaneous melanoma tissues,which are related to the pathological parameters of the degree of differentiation,lymph node metastasis and prognosis,and may be involved in the occurrence and development of cutaneous melanoma.
