眼表宏基因组研究进展

摘    要:眼表存在多种微生物,眼表微生物与眼表疾病(如角膜炎、角膜溃疡、结膜炎、干眼、睑板腺功能障碍等)的发生发展有关。早期主要通过传统的培养方法来鉴定微生物,但只有极少量的微生物可被培养并检出。宏基因组学可分析眼表所有微生物组成、菌群多样性、代谢特征、毒力因子等,目前其已被广泛应用于眼表疾病的研究。本文主要对眼表感染性疾病宏基因组学的研究进行综述,以提高人们对宏基因组学在眼表感染性疾病应用中的认识。

Abstract:There are various microbes on the ocular surface, which are associated with the occurrence and development of ocular surface diseases (such as keratitis, corneal ulcers, conjunctivitis, dry eye, and meibomian gland dysfunction). In previous studies, these microbes were usually detected by conventional microbial culture methods, but only a few could be cultured. Metagenomics can analyze the composition, diversity, metabolic characteristics, and virulence factors of all microbes; thus, it has been widely used to study the microbiome in ocular surface diseases. This article reviews the advances in metagenomics’ application in infectious ocular surface diseases.
