| Abstract: | A myringoplasty with both the advantages of underlay-sandwich methods and a postauricular approach on 73 ears with large perforation of tympanic membrane was performed. Follow-up for 1 to 2 years of 70 ears showed no secondary perforation. The healing rate was 95.9% and hearing improvement in the patients was 91.4%. This paper describes the method and discusses its advantages and the problems about the operation. |
