| Abstract: | Clearly increased sIgA values were found in cystic fibrosis patients in more than 70%. The highest concentrations were seen in patients with obstructive liver disease. There were no correlations between sIgA and liver-associated enzymes. Postmortem histology and sIgA correlated well. These data suggest a pertinent role of sIgA assessment in evaluation of hepatic involvement in cystic fibrosis. |
