Abstract: | An automated system for the indirect measurement of blood pressure on seacted factory workers has been developed and has been in continuous daily operation for nine months. Six industrial workers on a conveyor assembly line are monitored serially. Because of completely automatic operation of this system, blood-pressure data can be collected over a long time period without any experimenter intervention. This system was developed as part of a larger study titled “Effects of Paced Performance on Industrial Productivity, Job Satisfaction and Physiological Stress,” NSF Grant #7718695 |
