Thérapeutique nutritionnelle du patient en dialyse péritonéale

Protein-caloric malnutrition is common in peritoneal dialysis patients. Prevention and treatment of this malnutrition can only be achieved by sufficient oral protein and energy intakes, associated with enteral supplementation, in addition to regular follow-up of dialysis adequacy.Modifications of peritoneal dialysis dose to achieve higher Kt/V and creatinine clearance, utilisation of the new osmotic solutions recently made available offer new therapeutic strategies. These various interventions should decrease mortality and morbidity linked to nutrition problems.
