A clinical research of low-frequency neuromuscular therapy for lower limb lymphedema after cervical cancer surgery and/or radiotherapy

Objective To investigate the value of low-frequency neuromuscular therapy for lower extremity lymphedema after cervical cancer surgery and/or radiotherapy-Methods the experiment with 308 female patients with lower extremity lymphedema from the People ’s Hospital of Nanchang University,Jiujiang Maternal,and Child Health Hospital,Jingdezhen First People’s Hospital,Jingdezhen Second People’s Hospital,and the People’s Hospital of Yichun was taken between November 2019 to October 2020.The patients in group A(radical hysterectomy),B(radical hysterectomy+radiotherapy)and C(radical radiotherapy)were randomly divided into study groups and control groups.The study group was treated with complex decongestive therapy and low-frequency neuromuscular therapy,while the control group was treated with complex decongestive therapy.The effective rates of the two treatment methods were compared.Results In the three groups(A,B and C),the total effective rate of the study group was higher than that of the control group(85.10%/67.31%;87.50%/66.67%;89.09%/72.00%),and the P values were all <0.05,the difference being statistically significant.Conclusion Low-frequency neuromuscular therapy is effective in the treatment of lower limb edema after cervical surgery and/or radiotherapy,which is worthy of clinical promotion.
