Study on the relationship between the monocyte/high density lipoprotein cholesterol ratio,cerebralcollateral circulation and the neurological deficit in patients with acute ischemic stroke

Objective To explore the relationship between the monocyte/high density lipoprotein cholesterol ratio(MHR),cerebral collateral circulation and the neurological deficit in patients with acute ischemic stroke(AIS).Methods One hundred and eighteen patients with AIS admitted to our hospital from July 2020 to June 2021 were selected retrospectively.The patients were divided into a mild group(n=53),a moderate group(n=38)and a severe group(n=27)according to the degree of neurological impairment.MHR and cerebral collateral circulation were observed in the three groups.The relationship between the MHR and cerebral collateral circulation and the neurological deficit was analyzed.Results The monocyte count and MHR among the three groups were the severe group>the moderate group>the mild group,and the HDL-C and cerebral collateral circulation score were the mild group>the moderate group>the severe group(P<0.05).The number of monocyte and MHR were positively correlated with the degree of neurological impairment,while HDL-C level and collateral circulation score were negatively correlated with the degree of neurological impairment(P<0.05).The areas under ROC curve of MHR combined with cerebral collateral circulation score for mild to moderate and moderate to severe neurological deficit were 0.988 and 0.832,respectively,which were higher than that of MHR alone(P<0.05).Conclusion TheMHR,cerebral collateral circulation,and neurological deficit can effectively reflect the inflammatory reaction and the compensatory ability of blood flow in the focus areain AIS patients.It has certain guiding significance and value for predicting the neurological deficit of AIS patients.
