The influence of health education combined with rehabilitation nursing on the level of knowledge,belief,and practice of lumbar back muscle functional exercise and rehabilitation effect in patients with lumbar disc herniaion

Objective To analyze the clinical effect of diversified health education and rehabilitation nursing in patients with lumbar intervertebral disc herniation.Methods From May 2020 to April 2021,100 patients with lumbar disc herniation admitted totwo grade A hospitals in Xiamen and Chengdu were selected.The patients were divided into a routine group(n=53)and an experimental group(n=47)by usingconvenient sampling method.The routine group received rehabilitation nursing and routineeducation.The experimental group received rehabilitation nursing and diversified health education.Before and after intervention,thescores of knowledge,attitude/belief and practice(KAP)of lumbar muscle functional exercise and the score of Japanese Orthopaedic Association(JOA)low back Pain Evaluation Scaleas well as total effective rate of treatment were compared between the two groups.Results Before intervention,there was no significant difference in the scores of KAP and JOA between the two groups(P>0.05).After intervention,the scores of cognition,confidence,and action in the experimental group were higher than those in the routine group(P<0.05).After intervention,the scoreof JOA in the experimental group was higher than that in the routine group(P<0.05).The total effective rate was 96.00%in the experimental group,which was higher than 82.00%in the routine group(P<0.05).Conclusion Rehabilitation nursing and diversified health education for patients with lumbar disc herniation can improve their knowledge of lumbar muscle functional exercise,change their attitude,regulate their behavior,and improve the lumbar function and the intervention effect.It has a certain clinical application effect.
